Sun Kissed eyes

As the weather continue to be cold and wet and we long for the long summer months I have written a blog that combines the fashion trends of summer with the feelings of being out on long summer days.  On the catwalks this spring/summer 2014 a big look is golden, sun kissed eyes. This look has been seen on catwalks such as Gucci. To follow the trend you can either just brush a shimmer over your lids or add a touch of gloss over the colour.

The other great thing about this trend is you can use a dual purpose product; you don’t have to buy a new eye shadow colour. Perfect! Instead try using your bronzer, highlighter and blushers to create this sun kissed effect. To get a subtle hint of colour use a fluffy eye shadow brush to dust over your lids with your bronzer, my favourite is Bobbi Brown Illuminating Bronze Powder in Antigua, £27.

For this look you want to use coppery shades over the lids starting with a light champagne colour to highlight the inner corners and moving out to a deeper bronze at the outer edge. To make sure this look stays fresh, and brightens tired eyes keep the shimmer to lids and don’t extend up to the brow bone.
