High Gloss Lips

At this time of year the festive celebrations have begun!! So I thought I would share with you my favourite way to take your daytime look to evening glamour ready for those Christmas drinks. Keep your make-up simple for the day, then all you need to do is add high impact glossy red lips and pop your hair into a messy bun and you are ready to go.

For perfect glossy lips, make sure you have kept them moisturised during the day by putting on lip balm, my favourite is Jennifer Young’s Defiant  Beauty Lip Balm, £5.

Before you start make sure your lips are clean and dry. Dab your concealer over your lips to create a long-lasting lip, try Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer, £4.19

Take your red lip liner and follow your lip line for both top and bottom lips, starting at the middle.  You can trace slightly outside your lip line to make lips appear bigger or slightly inside to make them appear smaller. Fill in the rest of the lips with the liner. My go-to colour is MAC Lip Liner in Redd, £12. Lip liner is an important step to stop colour from feathering.  

Then using a brush, apply your red lip stick over the liner and blot off with tissue paper. Repeat this steps a few times, for added staying power. To make lips ultra glossy add clear or red gloss to the centre if your lips and you are done!
